Leen morning shake

  • Handful  of frozen fruit (I use the strawberries, peaches, mangos and pineapples mixture from walmart)
  • 3 cubes of frozen honeydew melon (Just buy it, cut it up, and put in freezer!)
  • Handful of frozen banana (cut it up and put in freezer)
  • Cup of water
  • 1 teaspoons of natural honey
  • 1 scoop of Natural Factors vanilla whey protein
  • Handful of ice cubes
Put all of this in your favorite blender and enjoy!
Calories: about 200 for the whole shake!

You can find a link to buy the whey protein from amazon here. (Only $13 dollars!! Great deal!)

I have in the past also put in coffee ice cubes (pour coffee into an ice cube tray and allow to freeze) as well as green tea ice cubes (pour home brewed green tea WITHOUT sugar added into ice cube tray and allow to freeze). This is a great way to add some flavor, as well as caffine into your morning shake! If you are not a fan of green tea, this is a great way to cover up all the taste with this fruit! Adding non fat greek yogurt also adds extra protein without sacrificing the great taste of fruit already in the smoothie.

~Smoothies are a great way to make breakfast interesting! There is no wrong way to make a smoothie! They are also extremely fast to make, and are great for people who don’t like the regular breakfast food, or who don’t really have the time! Feel free to add or take away any fruit that you don’t like or any other fruit that you have around! Also, adding a couple (and by that I mean 5 or 6) almonds will give the smoothie a great creamy texture to it!

~There is no wrong or right way to make a breakfast smoothie! Be creative with it, and you will see, these taste just as great as smoothie king! The protein powder in it keeps you full until your mid morning snack!

~Also try adding spinach and other leafy greens for an extra nutrient packed smoothie!
